How ByteSwap handles customer data.

ByteSwap stores the data needed to operate exchange tickets, support requests, order records and dispute review.

Data we may process

Discord IDs, display names, ticket IDs, order details, payment method labels, wallet/contact information, transcripts, status changes, support metadata, and fraud-prevention logs such as IP address and browser details when you use ByteSwap website or OAuth verification flows.

Why it is used

Data supports ticket handling, payout review, fraud prevention, abuse detection, support requests, transcript lookup and order reporting.

Security and fraud checks

ByteSwap may link website verification records and ticket activity by Discord ID to identify repeat abuse, fake payment attempts, chargebacks, ban evasion or suspicious account patterns. Discord-only button verification and ticket creation do not expose your IP address to ByteSwap.

Public vouches

Public vouches should hide customer identity. The vouch wall uses privacy-safe labels instead of names or Discord IDs.

Limited access

Only authorized ByteSwap team members should access private ticket and support records needed to handle exchanges.

Support requests

For privacy concerns or data-related questions, open an official support ticket in Discord.
